Driver's License Requirements
At the time of rental vehicle pick-up, all drivers must present a valid, U.S. or Canadian-issued driver's license in the driver's name. If you are renting a vehicle in the U.S. and are in possession of a Canadian driver's license, you will be required to also present a valid passport in the driver's name. Non-U.S. and non-Canadian residents are required to present a valid driver's license as well as a passport from their country of origin. If the information on your driver's license is not written in the classic Latin alphabet, you must also present an International Driving Permit.
Credit and Debit Card Policies
At the time rental, we'll require a major credit card to secure the rental transaction. We require an authorization for the total estimated charges plus $150 or $400, whichever is greater. Specialty vehicles such as SUVs, luxury vehicles, premium vehicles and crossover vehicles require a credit card authorization for the total estimated charges plus $150 or $500, whichever is greater.
We accept bank issued debit cards with a MasterCard or Visa logo from renters and additional drivers over the age of 21 with a local valid driver's license. Call your chosen rental office to confirm eligibility.
If you're using a bank issued debit card with a MasterCard or Visa logo at a location that accepts them, we'll require a debit card payment in the amount outlined above for major credit card holders.
However, for direct bill insurance replacement rentals the minimum credit card authorization hold is $150 and if using a bank issued debit card, the minimum debit card payment is $150.

Age Requirements

Age NONE to 24 - Customers must be at least 21 years of age at time of rental.
Minimum age requirement to rent from Spallco is 21 years old. At the time of rental, a $15 per day underage surcharge will be applied to those renters age 21-24.
All surcharges are added at the time of rental and may not be quoted in your online total.
Additional Drivers

If a renter wishes to add an additional driver to the rental agreement, the additional driver must be at least 21 years of age and present their valid driver's license.
At the time of rental, a $10-per-day additional driver surcharge will be applied for each additional driver over 25 years of age. Underage surcharge of $15 will apply to additional drivers under the age of 25.
Additional driver surcharges will be waived for the renter's spouse or domestic partner designated on the renter's automobile insurance policy. All surcharges are added at the time of rental and may not be quoted in your online total.

The cost of the Insurance Deductible Collision Damage Waiver (IDCDW) is $5.99 per day. IDCDW is offered at the time of rental for an additional daily charge. IDCDW is optional and is not insurance. If the renter accepts the IDCDW, we will waive our right to collect from the renter up to the first $500 of their insurance deductible for physical damage to the rental vehicle. The renter and their insurance company remain responsible for the balance of the damage to the vehicle. IDCDW is not available in combination with CDW. Insurance and Coverage
Renters must provide verifiable automobile liability insurance in their name.
We require physical damage coverage on all rental vehicles.
Reservations/Inquiries' estimates will not include insurance coverages unless specifically chosen. Renters must have liability AND physical damage on their automobile insurance policy to not be required to take additional coverages through us.
Geographic Restrictions
Most vehicles include free unlimited mileage for travel east of the Mississippi. Travel west of the Mississippi may be authorized. Call your chosen rental location for rates and information. Travel into Mexico is prohibited. Travel into Canada is permitted with location consent.
